Vista: Then and Now

With the countdown to the Vista downgrade launch on January 20th – figured I would dust off this old YouTube video that shows what Microsoft envisioned Vista to look like when it was on schedule to launch in 2003
As an added bonus – you can get a jump on Vista by downloading all their bundled desktop pictures here.

Screw Vista, Longhorn looks MUCH nicer. I was actually impressed with that. I wouldnt mind installing that eyecandy on my PC. God knows it’ll also surely require a hardware upgrade.
That was pretty sweet! I’d totally switch to Windows if using it was like that.
wow, that would be nice!
So they did have a vision once. -.-
LoL… looks cute I agree… but with the hell it was called “longhorn”? I’m afraid… =X
microsoft get your shit in order and stop blaging mac osx
Its amazing how much easier it is to mock up something in Flash than it is to actually build it into an OS. I love how the data elements dance around and then land on the page. I’m going to build my next web site like that.
I think they should actually create this ui and have it as one of the “Windows Ultimate Extras” Or at least a 3rd party should come out with a hacked up interface.
It’s stll windows.
Thats pretty funny that you would state “With the countdown to the Vista launch on January 20th” when this post was posted on the 21st. Do you mean 30th?
