People love their gTalk! Using an audio gateway you can hack gTalk to call any landline number with a simple IM.

In order to make free phone calls follow these steps.

  • Sign up for an account at splinter.net (It’s cheap and you don’t have to fill registration form)
  • Add service@splinter.net as a friend in your gTalk.
  • Then after few seconds your request will be accepted by the splinter bot.
  • Now send a message to service@splinter.net following the format “call 1-212-555-1212″ and you will get an incoming voice call from them.
  • Accept this call and you will be able to talk to the phone number you just entered.

Splinter.net gives you small amount of money for testing the service, but because of their low call rates it is enough to make few calls. (It’s Cheaper then Skype)

Also you can check the cost for a call by entering the command: “cost 1-212-555-1212″

I tried to there service and at the end of the day, I was feeling cheated. the money has been deducted from my account, but still it shows no balance.

This is a fraud service!! I will warn everyone not to give your credit card details to them, else they will charge you and won’t even provide you service.
