You would think that 30 years would humble Apple. For them to make such a BOLD statement they certainly must have SOME trick up their sleeve. Anyone care to guess? Oh, and if anyone in the comments mentions the cellular device that Apple has been speculated to have come out with for TWO YEARS in the comments, I think I will SCREAM!

I think apple is planing a OS war agenst apple. I belive apple is going to release OSX on PC’s and keep a more advanced feature filled OSX on MAC’s only. This way thay will be able to still sell mac’s and pull in a shit load of people from the PC spectrum.

    The iPod kitchen appliance.

  3. Derek says:

All I’m looking forward to / hoping for is Leopard (granted), and the iTV. Or at least something similar to the Airport Express (AirTunes) for video content.

  4. Dan says:

I swear if someone says a product that rhymes with thy bone I can’t be held responsible for my actions.

  5. Jon says:

    how about that eyefone?

  6. Well.. You can all start screaming or whatever you wanna do when someone mentions the iPhone.. I’ve been waiting for it since I got my first iBook some 4 years ago and this could be it!

  7. Mikey says:

Perhaps some sort of celluar device…

  8. Kibby says:

It would be nice to see a OSX version that is easiy installable on any PC. It would be like an entry drug you know to hook them on real good stuff.

  9. Don Wilson says:

I hope not an iPhone, useless to me.

  10. SMASH!!!! says:

completely off topic.. i liek how you guys have the little faces when you post

    now on topic…kinda

    i want itv

  11. chad says:

hmmm I still keeping my fingers crossed for the iFurby…. but thats just a personal thing :D

  12. Justin says:

wow, you guys have a ton of comments now a days (or it looks like you do.)

i hope it’s a new cheaper Macbook Pro. I really want one of those thingies!

  13. Derek says:

Oh how could I forget? I want a sub notebook from Apple. Something to fill the gap left behind by the now retired 12″ Powerbook.

  14. Ronald Poi says:

Leopard will be breathtaking… what we’ve seen so far is almost nothing of what it will be… The iPhone could be revolutionary as well… PC version of Mac is a huge NO

  15. Ian says:

Please Steve let it be the iWife: one that will do as I command (cmd-make me a sandwich), let me upgrade her at will (I’m thinking ZIF-breast augmentation here) and of course, the ever present mute button. Oh, and I can insert any choice of my peripherals (think of what USB can really stand for…)

Oh please oh please oh please oh please oh please oh please oh please…

  16. Dogcow says:

I’m with you Derek, first thing that popped in my mind (that was realistic) is a super slim 12″. The rumor sites have been buzzing about it for a while. But honestly, Apple has had some completely unpredictable releases in the past where the rumor sites had no idea. Think iMac (which is in funky ground in product placement I think).

  17. Dogcow says:

Actually maybe a tablet. Everything is there and I remember hearing about a patent or two about tablet based apple hardware a while back.

  18. chad says:

“sudo make.me.a.sandwich -now” if you’re running TuxWife

  19. Derek says:

Tablet…? Bah. I would much rather see the iTV over any sort of tablet release. A much over hyped device that has yet to plant a strong foothold. If you’re looking for the convenience of a tablet type device, get a mobile smartphone of some type.

  20. Dogcow says:

I mean current tablets suck and dont really have a clear intended purpose (and I would argue many smartphones too), but the thing that makes me love Apple is they innovate. At the time I didn’t see why Apple made USB, but I do now. I didn’t see why Apple would go for dual processors on a desktop, but I do now. I remember the first dualproc I was exposed to was actually a clone in the OS 7/8 days. I am consistently impressed at each further step which Apple makes. Don’t get me wrong, there were flukes, and I would believe a standard tablet would fall the way of the newton. There is zero market. But Apple has gotten really good lately at finding that twist, and quite simply turns water into wine.

  21. Mike D says:

    I have a tablet.. I like it

  22. chad says:

give me a tablet running photoshop anyday… I mean I love ole point and click, but I feel a completely different flood of design comes from me when I can freely drawn directly onto my canvas… other than that… i find them pointless.

  23. John Maher says:

    i think its great

  24. Scott says:

I’m hoping leopard got finished early.. :)

  25. Tomiko says:

Well, I guess if anything we’ll find out at Macworld.

  26. ClaMs says:

    I can’t wait till MacWorld.

Apple will surely now try to fade the line between the living room and the PC room. With the powerfull chips and access to TV, apple will indirectly sneak into the ‘console’ market. And it’s all about media on the go. Be it music, videos you made, or clips you saved off your TV.

Oh, and a 12″ flash memory laptop. Mechanical harddisks will start becoming old school pretty soon.

  27. Hilmar says:

“The first 30 years were just the beginning”

Ok The next 30 years will be the “middle” and after that…

    …30 years, as the “end”…

Or what? For me this statement is (at the moment) no more than a “Happy New Year”

  28. King says:

maybe new console on the market to fight against xbox :P

  29. Roger says:

Forget the rest of the laptop/iPod/rhymes-with-”moan”, I just want a wireless “Undo” button–no batteries, but a small hand crank would be okay–which I can wear strapped to my wrist.

  30. Dan says:

    Roger –

I would love one of those too. It would complement my Easy button!
