Box.net updates their sharing widget

Box, an UNEASYsilence favorite, has recently updated their sharing widget. First impressions are always crucial and this latest offering rises to the challenge (and then some). Check out some of the fine Mandolux wallpaper samples or click the shared MP3 file, you’ll notice that Box plays the file back within the widget with no need to download the file.

In order to add the slick looking widget to your own blog, you’ll need to register a free account which offers a roomy 1GB of online storage (additionally storage upgrades are available). Simply click the “Create your own Box.net widget” at the bottom of the Favorite Shares widget above to get started.

You’ll also notice that the widget provides the option to upload additional files directly to the shared folder. What other free online storage service can compete?

Need another reason why you should consider using Box? Check out the unofficial WebDav support that you can hook right into.

  1. Did they ever get the desktop sync up and running?

    I haven’t used my account in a long time…

This is just what I was looking for, thanks. One thing though, the widget won’t allow me to copy/paste the code… which is really annoying me. Where do I get the widget on their site? Box.net doesn’t even mention the widget on their site…..
