Not being the hardcore gamer type, I admit to feeling sense of relief playing arcade style games like that offered by Pangea. They’re Pangea Arcade is surprisingly entertaining and time consuming. Anyone familiar with the classic Warheads arcade game will come to appreciate the minor enhancements Pangea has thrown into the mix.

To my surprise, Freeverse has released version 1 of its Wingnuts game series. A true arcade style game for OS X available as a Universal Binary. Once you’ve mastered the air in Wingnuts 1, consider purchasing Wingnuts 2 (priced at $29.95).

Can anyone recommend any other arcade style game worth checking out?

or you can just use your backspace key and save 29.95 XD

You would be suprised how many companies dont realize that simple mistake.

    Full version is 875mb uncompressed!!

Cynic821, how do you do that?

I got Pangea arcade in the MacHeist bundle and the graphics and effects are so great! It comes with 3 games: Nucleus, Warheads, and Firefall. My favorite is nucleus, which is the classic blow-up-meteors game.

But with many cool extra weapons…
and a concept of collecting electrons in a crowded asteroid filed and delivering them to the nucleus, going up the list of elements and making the field more crowded.

what do you mean by “hit your backspace key”?

I’m pretty sure Wingnuts 1 is only available as a PPC binary. I could be wrong, but the version I downloaded was PPC and runs under Rosetta. Wingnuts 2 is Universal Binary for sure, though.

    I think.

    Love,
