Cingular just announced a downloadable Java client that will allow its subscribers to access MySpace, ending a year long exclusive agreement with the MVNO Helio.

This new client will provide access to almost all of MySpace’s features including uploading of photos, read and write mail, check up on their friends, as well as update and catch up on blogs.

The cost will be $3 per month and is available for most newish Cingular handsets. Cingular will also offers MySpace alerts to all subscribers regardless of phone model which text a user whenever they have received a new message, comment or invitation.

Let the fun begin!
