OS X users - Photoshop CS3 beta crack

A little birdie pointed out that a little hacking was done in order to create a working Photoshop CS3 (Beta) crack which disables the serial and activation requirement. What’s this mean? It means that anyone without a legit serial can continue using the beta release well beyond the two day limitation for non-registered users.

People were thinking crack for this thing, but how many actually know where to get the real deal? Why make it easier? Just asking. My post above was partially sarcastic.
That said, it’s not like it’s a big deal. The internet is a cesspool of corrupt practices and I’ve always held the stance of these programs being priced way too high for the novice or potential future master to get access to. A better way of getting access to these high-end programs to poor people is very much needed. If reality TV can produce usable singers and actors, why can’t something similar be done for designers and truly creative, unique people? Why limit potential?

Well, as great as this sounds, I can’t seem to get the patch work on my PPC G5 Desktop. It doesn’t prevent it rom launching, it just acts as if nothing had ever happened.
I have done the drag and drop (the CS3 application onto the [k] app, I’m not an idiot), as well as attempt to manually apply the crack, that ALSO didn’t work. I have modified the patcher application to patch only the executable and not the info file and THAT ALSO did not work.
Am I missing something? I feel retarded as hell but there isn’t an ounce of support for this on the internet outside of the open up in Hexedit and change this to this.

Nevermind, it took me little patching of the patcher but I eventually got it to work. It just doesn’t like my G5 is all.

When you steal from Adobe, it’s not Adobe that gets hurt though. It’s the small developers that are working as contractors for Adobe. When they don’t get paid because not enough people is buying Photoshop, then their family doesn’t get dinner. You won’t believe me on this, but it’s true.

Having said that, removing the limitation on the beta, if you plan to buy once the new version is out, IMO, really doesn’t hurt anything.

When I drag the CS3 icon over the drop Zone, I keep getting the same response: Can’t apply the patch on this file” What should I do?

I applied Brandon’s advices, and I appears to work ok. Let’s see if it will last over the 2 try-out days.

had initial problems applying the patch but then told the patch to run using rosetta (get info on patch and choose ‘open using rosetta’) then applied the patch again and bobs your auntie - intel users only - obviously!!!

I have a MacBook and I did the crack with the program above and it worked just fine. Thanks to whoever came up with it.

… patch not working anymore. Just did the following:
- Installed fresh CS3 beta
- Applied the patch = didn’t work
- Applied the hex-edit = didn’t work
CS3 seems to act as if nothing happened, and still prompts with trial screen. Also, my install doesn’t even have a file called “application.sif” in the Contents folder. Me thinks that Adobe is wise to this crack and has modified the beta.

Per some other websites, I think the problem is that it only works with Intel, sans PPC. It says is it “universal” but that probably across Adobe versions, not Apple laptop versions.
Still using a PowerBook here. ;-)
Anybody have luck on PPC … just in case I am wrong.

Hey I discovered that if you set your date back to before 2007, the BETA works again. They must have put an 2007 deadline for the beta. So hopefuly someone will be able to come up with a simple fix.
If you dont care less just set your date back.
