Sprint now allows data roaming on Verizon

Months after Verizon (and Alltel) allowed Sprint phones to SMS when you are roaming. It seems today that Sprint phones can now roam on Verizons data network. As far as I can tell there are no additional data roaming fees if you subscribe to Sprints unlimited “Power Vision” package.

I can confirm that data roaming is working in New York, and it seems to work nationwide if your EVDO phone has the PRL 20225.

If you are a Sprint user, please drop a comment to confirm it is working for you.

I can confirm this: I am using my ppc-6700, tethered to my pc, and am roaming on Verizon.

However, I am using PRL 20224, NOT 20225. I just updated to the newest Sprint ROM and the NZTelecom AKU 2.2, also – perhaps that is the reason I can roam?
