James was a good guy. His editorials from Cnet were often a highpoint of my day. But I can't help but wonder if the very gadgets that he reviewed may have saved his life. Is GPS becoming a necessity in some places to prevent tragedies such as this?

I didn't know the man or what kind of guy he was... But he sets a great example for a society that is losing touch with the ideals of self sacrifice for the benefit of others. R.I.P. James

A CNET reader said...

"James kept his wife and kids alive while sacrificing his own life and I believe all men who read this story will hold James in the highest regard as a man among men who gave his two children the rest of their lives,"

*waits for Hollywood to come and profit off this story, as well as HORRIBLE made for TV movies.

Hopefully, if they MUST make a story outta this, then it will be for theatres and no TV.
