We are sad to report, that authorities have reported that the body of James Kim has been discovered face down in a snowy canyon in Oregon.
We mourn the loss of our tech journalist brother, and wish the deepest sympathy to his wife and family.

RIP, James…
RIP…
My thoughts and prayers for the Kim family. May the Lord give you the strength and courage needed to continue on.
I am so very sorry for your loss.
Truly a shame. And to think that if he had stayed at the sight with his wife and kids he would have been saved. I don’t blame him though, I would have gone for help if it were my family. Rest in peace, James.
I was really really really hoping for a happy ending to this one :(
RIP and my condolences to the family and close friends

*waits for Hollywood to come and profit off this story, as well as HORRIBLE made for TV movies.
Hopefully, if they MUST make a story outta this, then it will be for theatres and no TV.
poor james, he has definitely gone to heaven i feel it.
A CNET reader said…
“James kept his wife and kids alive while sacrificing his own life and I believe all men who read this story will hold James in the highest regard as a man among men who gave his two children the rest of their lives,”
It’s an unfortunate chain of events. Best wishes go out to his wife and kids.
Absolute Hero, what a sad outcome. My thought are with everyone that goes missing like this. Couragous
Thoughts and prayers to his wife and children. Hes a hero for sure.
I didn’t know the man or what kind of guy he was… But he sets a great example for a society that is losing touch with the ideals of self sacrifice for the benefit of others. R.I.P. James
James was a good guy. His editorials from Cnet were often a highpoint of my day. But I can’t help but wonder if the very gadgets that he reviewed may have saved his life. Is GPS becoming a necessity in some places to prevent tragedies such as this?
