Is that warm cookies that I’m smelling?

An ad committee has decided to create an enticing advertising campaign which would place scented adhesives inside bus shelters in order to create that “fresh cookies out of the oven” lure for milk.
Hoping to stir up thirst for milk, officials installed advertisements in several San Francisco bus shelters on Monday that give off the scent of freshly baked cookies.
The technology that creates the scent is very similar to that used in magazine ads. Scented adhesives are placed throughout the interior of the bus shelters, including under the benches.
“As long as they are not harmful chemicals, it’s OK,” one somewhat confused elderly woman said as she pondered the cookie smell in one of the shelters. “They are trying to sell milk? Is that it?”
What a prime idea for getting customers to crave products. Inserting aromatic inserts inside bus shelters is definitely an interesting approach. I am often forced to leave in a rush without grabbing breakfast and the smell of fresh cookies would definitely cause me to crave a little milk ‘n cookies.
Not too sure how well the scented adhesives would do with that smell of urine and throw-up often found in some of the public transportation shelters around town.

Exactly. I had a friend once who wore Tommy cologne. His room smelled like laundry and poo, but he would mask it with an unhealthy dose of “Tommy”. Ever since then, when I smell that cologne, I smell socks and poo. I would hate to bite into a fresh baked cookie only to imagine licking a bus shelter handrail.
