Matrox DualHead2Go = Poor man’s multi-display

Interested in setting-up your own multi-display system but kicking the table due to hardware limitations? Consider checking out the Matrox DualHead2Go.
Increase your productivity with Matrox DualHead2Go; a cost-effective, dual monitor upgrade. Using patent pending technology, this palm-sized box harnesses the power of the graphics card in your system and is capable of adding multi-monitor support to compatible notebook and desktop computers. DualHead2Go is simple to install as it connects to the existing single monitor output (i.e. external VGA output) of a computer.
Matrox claims support for certain Intel®, NVIDIA® and ATI® enabled graphics chipsets or NVIDIA® and ATI® add-in-boards. The updated compatibility list can be viewed here. While I drool at the idea of running dual Apple Displays with my MacBook Pro, the paltry 2560×1024 supported resolution using the DualHead2Go is just… lame? On top of that, modern laptops with DVI-outputs will need a Mini-DVI to VGA adapter.
