IP Address has created a fun way to not only know the general location if an IP address, but also see it mapped out on Google maps.

All you need to do is run the traceroute tool to find your destinations IP address, and plug it in to the website.

I’ve been researching IP->lat/long and this isn’t that big of a deal. They just buy a database or get access to the free api and just plug the data into google maps. WOW AMAZING!

I’ve seen this before. There is plenty of sites that do a lookup on Ip addresses to see its location. Mainly what city, or destination of the provider.

    Nothing new here.
