James Kim, successful entrepreneur and tech writer (cNet) has been missing since Saturday November 25th. The family was driving from the San Francisco area up to Seattle. Last seen in the Portland, Oregon area. The family is driving a silver Saab wagon with license plate DOESF.
The San Francisco Police Department is seeking information regarding a missing San Francisco family of four. On Friday, November 17, 2006, James Kim, his wife, Kati Kim, and their children, Penelope Kim and Sabine Kim left on a road trip to Seattle, Washington. The family was expected to return to San Francisco on Monday, November 27th, 2006. When both James Kim and Kati Kim did not show up for their appointments on Tuesday, November 28th, it caused their co-workers to be worried for their safety. The Kim’s are known to always keep in touch daily either by phone or e-mail with their friends and co-workers. The last known whereabouts of the Kim family was in Portland, Oregon on Saturday morning, November 25, 2006

This was mentioned in the Cnet forums and seems very true to me. I own a Saab myself and know they come equipped with OnStar service. I hope this has been thought of…OnStar would be able to locate the vehical pretty fast.

I didn’t know James or his family – but followed this story with so much hope and prayer. I have such a sick feeling in my heart knowing that he was only steps and minutes away from staying alive. 20/20 hindsight… if only he had only stayed back with his family… they all would have been saved. May Gd bless his soul.
