Looking for an alternative to the usual web based service [Meebo, eBuddy, etc] that are most likely blocked on your school networks? Keep SNIMMER in your thoughts as a backup plan (until network admins catch on). The service functions like any other web based messenger in that users enjoy the convenience of chatting with ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo, or Jabber contacts from a single page. In addition, the service offers an iframe which gives you a personalized web IM page to add to your site.

The most interesting functionality of the service? No need for passwords. Check the service out and report back with your feelings. The service purportedly provides a platform for cross protocol messaging.
