Apple Store on spot service

According to Tanner, Apple Stores now offer the convenience of summoning an Apple Specialist to the current machine that you are toying with. Can anyone else confirm this? The interface looks very un-Apple-like (personal opinion) with that putrid looking green screen overlay when the Apple Specialist desktop icon is clicked. In any event, we’re looking for confirmation.

Update: Reportedly witnessed at the Newport Beach Apple Store.

  1. Hey just noticed the pingback. I spotted this at the Apple Store in Newport beach (http://www.apple.com/retail/fashionisland, forgot to put that in there) on all the Macs in the store. I do not know if it is unique to that store or what.
