I almost fell out laughing when reading this news article! If giving up all earthly pleasures

is indeed a sacrifice any monk must make, then maybe cutting his penis off was for the

best after all. However, it is painfully obvious that having erection would have meant that

this particular monk had something on his mind other than meditating. Therefore, can it

really be said that he has completely given up all earthly pleasures? HMM???
