Get ready, $100 XBox 360 on Amazon.com

No worries, Amazon.com will be selling brand spankin’ new XBox 360 gaming consoles for $100! That’s right, one hundred dollars. The catch? There are only 1000 units available for sale and that’s all going down at 11AM PST. Not too much time left before the Amazon.com servers buckle under the stress of thousands (millions maybe?) of potential future XBox 360 customers attempt to snag one of the consoles. Check the original “vote” page for proof about the $100 XBox 360 sale.
Is anyone going to try and get their mitts on one of these gaming consoles?
Nah, their servers won’t buckle. The Wii sold out in mere seconds on sunday and I didn’t notice even the slightest slowdown.
I hope I get one of those 360s, though. If you add the price of the hard drive and the wireless controller, it’s still cheaper than a Wii.
Ahhh thanks! I got one of those over at MicroCenter – had to wait half an hour cause the people kept forgetting to get me one from the back but all is well…perhaps i’ll buy one from amazon and sell it on ebay?
OK maybe “buckle” was the wrong word. I do know that during the launch of he Wii the Amazon page for the console loaded much slower than it normally did.
I hope I can get one. Whenever I want to play a 360 I have to drive over to my friend’s house. Not fun.
Dang, no international orders for these special deals though. What a bummer!
I know I will be watching and reloading the amazon page to try and get one of these. If I am unable, it is no big deal. I have my Wii to entertain me.

For Amazon it die is shocking… I thought the Wii and PS3 would have killed them – not a XBox 360 CORE system

As a Wii owner, I have to say it is one of the best systems I have ever owned in terms of the “fun factor”
They are gone. I logged on 30 seconds till and the site locked up. then used my browsers history and was able to get to the site but all the units were gone. What a dissappointment. After everything was said and done it was 11:03 PST.
Amazon sucks.
I would LOVE to know the hell that Amazons servers took for that brief moment of time.

I picked up one of the xbox 360 from Micro Center last week, Thanks for the sweet tip, Hopped in the car with a buddy, and took a road trip, fun way to spend a friday night, drinig across the state to get an 360 and save 100 bucks!
