Want to host a flash video, but can’t compress it? Here’s a Trick

Run a blog and want to host a Flash Video file, but don’t have enough horse power or the right tools on your computer to properly compress it? Here is a hack to use the power of YouTube to make your compression life much easier.

  • Simply log into YouTube, and navigate to the upload tab

  • Fill out all the fields in the upload form, as if you were going to host the file on YouTube

  • Choose your file, and upload

  • Be patient as the video uploads, and the video encodes

  • Once the video is done, navigate to the Home tab then the My Videos subtab

  • Find the video you just uploaded in the list and copy the broadcast link to your computers clipboard

  • In a new browser tab or window, open the website http://keepvid.com, and paste the broadcast link into the KeepVid site.

  • Download the video in the Download Line of KeepVid, BE SURE the the downloaded file has the .FLV extension

  • Now upload the .FLV file to your web server and use your favorite inline Flash player on your blog

    I just want to compress a avi file from 119 to a little less than 100 for uploading in youtube I need it complete becouse it became real nice ….!!!!!
