iTunes Finally Credits for Already Purchased Songs
This post was published 3 years 3 months 27 days ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.Even though I am not a fan of DRM (even though it can easily be removed *cough*) every now and again I have to purchase a song via iTunes.
But here’s what really bothers me, I buy a song or two off of an album – then I decide to buy the whole thing. I quickly learned if you buy each remaining song on the album separately, it costs more than if you just buy the entire album all at once, and I hate wasting money – and I seem not to be the only person pissed at this policy.

But rumors are swirling that Apple supposedly will credit iTunes users who purchase individual tracks before buying the entire album. For example, let’s say you bought a track from the new Yanni (God forbid!) album for $0.99 and the album is priced at $9.99. Then you have an attack of lunacy and decide to buy the whole album later, Apple would only charge you $9.00.
If true this is a great idea for the customer, I can see why Apple wouldn’t want to implement this system but with Zune out it might be a necessary move to keep Microsoft at bay. [via]
yeah fuck microsoft
GG iTunes
… I stopped using this about 3 years ago when my laptop died and lost about $70 in iTunes music… I figured “oh I’ll just redownload it, i’m sure they keep my purchases on file”….. wrong
now I just buy the album or pirate it…. sad to say I love the concept of the itunes music store, but I still despise their poor record keeping and execution there of.
….. iTunes give me a call when you grow up and mature a bit more, because dealing with you is like debating with a senial old man…
P.S. if you want to impress me Apple, record my purchases, let me redownload them upon request… and heres a crazy idea, launch an online streaming version of your store where I can log in and listen to my purchased music via a flash based player from any computer I wish…..
GG… in the mean time, I’ll be building my iPod killer ;)
I wish I could actually see how much I’ve spent on iTunes Music in the past few years…then double check to see songs I still have….maybe then I’d stop buying music from them.
Haha, never mind you can do that =P =D
But are they going to backdate it so that I will be reimbursed for all the singles I’ve bought before now?!
