adaatasdcard.jpg How often have you grabbed your digital camera in a rush, and its card was full?

It is annoying! A DATA is looking to resolve this problem. They have created an SD card that has a very small display integrated into the card, that does not require additional power sources to function.

The display will show the available space on the card and name of the card, which will be especially useful when you have multiple SD cards. [via]

This is better, but only USB-supporting. An inflating SD card would be weird, anyway.

Just a side note, I have all five (now 6?) fresh comments. I’m going to play the lottery in the morning.

PVL, what the heck are you talking about?

I actually have one of these cards and it’s pretty amazing. I don’t understand how it’s powered but it really does show the amount of space left on the card.

    Well worth the money.

Has anyone got/used/seen one of the 8GB SD cards?

    The C’ALL – from j2’s post: http://www.plusminus.ru/flashbag.html

    It looks pretty sweet.

Steve it works by using a solid state display, the numbers change with magnetic impulses that cause pigment to adhere to the screen. change the magnetization, move the pigments, show the numbers.
