There’s not doubt in any MacBook Pro users mind that the metal housing does a great job at ensuring users know exactly how hot their machines are capable of getting. Are you a current MacBook Pro owner? Interested in yet another temperature monitoring utility guaranteed to widen your eyes explaining why your machine gets so toasty?

Check out Marcel Bresink’s Temperature Monitor utility which probes your machines internals displaying results from various sensors. Available in full or lite [via]. We can never get enough of those tempareture monitor utilities on OS X can we? Lifehacker even points out a full article on ZDNet concerning MBP’s and high temperatures.

ministat2 is a great app. i tried this out and while its functions are up there will all of the temp monitors, i still like the interface and ease of use of ministat2 and its only 5 bucks! give them all a try and decide.

i love the customizable skins of ministat2 specifically though, make it look like your mac and all, just wish you could resize to make it bigger, but atleast you can change the wallpaper in it! :) probably why i chose ministat2 over the rest, the GUI of it

The iStat widgets were a usual adornment on my Dashboard. iStat Nano more so than the full iStat widget.
