    Core2 Duo 2GHz
    80GB hard drive upgrade (45 USD)
    2Gbs of Ram (from newegg) 250 USD
    Mighty mouse
    Apple USB Modem (I’m on dial up at home)

    The computer was only 1199 USD because I got the student discount
    W00T!

    hopefully these won’t have the RSS syndrome meh.

    Boo, makes my two month old Macbook look old fashioned!

    As far as RSS goes, a coworker has that problem and ran the test found at http://macbookrandomshutdown.com/ and his would shutdown. He applied the new firmware upgrade and now the test does not fail. Perhaps they have found the culprit.

    unless he did a CTO, he said maxed out… which means he might have installed ram and HD in it as well. you can’t return CTO (configure to order) models.
