Verizon and YouTube near to a content deal

As response to Cingulars exclusive deal with FaceBook, and Helio’s exclusive with MySpace, Sprints exclusive with Nascar and the NFL – Verizon is reportedly in talks for an exclusive content sharing deal with YouTube.

Under the terms being discussed, customers of Verizon Wireless [...] would be able to view some YouTube videos on their cellphones through the carrier’s premium V Cast service. Verizon also would offer YouTube videos as an on-demand feature of a TV service it is launching throughout the nation, according to the paper.

No word on the ability to post directly to YouTube, or if Verizon will promote YouTubes existing mobile uploading options.
