Fisher Price has always been very technology oriented, all my really cool toys when I was little was from them. This year, in time for the holiday shopping season, they introduce a non-destructable camera features a 1.3-inch LCD preview screen, dual-handle grips, a 2-eye viewfinder, built-in auto-flash, and 640 x 480 resolution for 4 x 6-inch prints. All for your tot.

The camera’s 8 MB built in memory stores over 60 photos and has a SD memory slot for increased storage.

Obviously there is a demand for this product since most major resellers only have a few in stock. Available for $80.00.

I wonder if the two-eye view finder was really necessary.

  2. James says:

    Yes,

The double viewfinder is what makes this easy for kids… so it is necessary. Keeps the photos aligned to what the child actually want to shoot.

As for the product, for the money it would have been nice with a touch better resolution AND the SD card slot has a major problem….

The card pops out of the spring-loaded slot WAY too often after being jostled.

While it will not be lost (since it is enlosed) you constantly need a scredriver to re-seat it under the battery panel. A simple McGyver like fix is necessary to wedge the card into place.

Otherwise, great product though. I really mean that.

BTW, great site. Keep up the amazing work.

Non-Destructable? Yeah…… By 6pm on 12/25 that will be proven false.

Does anyone know why the flash would not be working on my son’s camera? There is a flash symbol on the screen w/ a slash throuh it, I thought the flash was automatic?

My daughter’s camera won’t boot even after reseating the batteries. It’s been in service for….2 hours. :-(
