Meebo goes 1.0 with a slick new interface

Reinforcing the fact that desktop software may very well be replaced by web based alternatives, Meebo recently went 1.0 [via] with a few added improvements. Most noticeably, Meebo now sports an updated skin (with the option to return to the default) as well as the ability to move the buddy list and chat windows outside of the Meebo window. Now you can keep your Meebo buddy list outside on your desktop as though it were a desktop chat client.
