Strip iTunes encryption with *cough* iMovie

This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.Seidai Software worked out a few kinks and managed to find a way to strip iTunes DRM from iTunes Music Store purchases using Apple’s own iMovie software. Hitting Apple back with a little of its own medicine. I love it.
Check out the small utility and System Preferences tweak requirement on Seidai Software and start stripping your music free of any DRM.
Will this work with tv shows, Movies. I sure hope so …….???????
Anyone got this to work ?
does this work for itunes video as well ?
Yay, this re-encodes the music file. This can be done with any number of audio programs out there, by redirecting the audio output from iTunes.
Things in the past such as JHymn, and currently myFairTunes and QTFairTunes are great because they don’t have to re-encode the data at all.
hmm… can’t seem to get this to work. i keep getting path errors in imovie.
oh well.
Will using this program to reencode the files result in a loss of quality?
JHymn, does not work on a mac w/o an ipod ! Anyone a way to do video ?
please anyone…. ????
Just what I needed.
Yeah, didn’t work for me either. Oh well.
Haven’t tried this, but I had success just burning my downloads to a CD, and then reimporting them, within iTunes, when I needed them in a non-protected format. This is a cool idea, though.
