I’m all for human power. Crank and go baby! The FreeCharge by Freeplay is a foot powered generator with a internal 12-volt battery that with the right cabling can then be used to power emergency lighting, recharge electronics or even jump start a car.

However, nowhere does it state exactly how much pumping is needed to charge the battery, but lets hope when you are done there is enough energy to run the defibrillator you will need.

Seriously though, this might be a excellent device that can sit in the trunk of your car for when you forget to turn your headlights off. Available for $269.99 from the FreeCharge website.
