So I sent the following to my rep:
___start quote___
So perhaps you can help me out here.
just how many of these do you have in stock?
how many are being sold?
who is buying these things?
cdw part: 959056
And at a 20Mb/s we're looking at 7.2 hours to upload or download all the contents, why would someone even use one?
___end quote___

He replied:
___start quote___
That kind of the standing joke around here. We have sold none and I don’t know why anyone would buy it. But the good news is we have it available when you need a 64GB usb drive.

Think would be a great time to post an article about how company's should think about the few people with 5-10GB hard drives now a days. Why must 56K users be forced to download 20MB system updates? I really would like to know :P

They must have multiplied both the price and the capacity by 1024 for sure! :p

The fact that such a USB drive exists, means that the technology to have higher capacity pen drives exists. Why aren't there higher capacity drives on the market? (At reasonable prices obviously) Maybe the big IT names want to continue selling us these tiny drives and release slightly larger capacity increments every now and then, and then convince us to buy those, making a profit on ever increment - I smell a conspiracy.
