AllofMP3’s DRM, cracked
This post was published 3 years 26 days ago and its content may not be valid anymore.Follow along…Â AllofMP3, the Russian music service that has been deemed illegal in the US, released a version of thier music that had DRM to protect thier assets.
As predicted, a crack has been issued for the DRMed illegal songs, to make them playable on any MP3 player. So that would be reverse engineering a DRM mechanism, a clear violation of the DMCA. Do two wrongs make a right here?
If you want to test the logic, MusicForMe (a play off of MusicfortheMasses) is available here.  One pitfall is that the resulting files have names like “123ABCQWERTY.mp3,” but their ID3 tags are still intact, Ill let you figure out what do do with that.
Now before this post ends, my lawyer has kindly asked me to say the following. UNEASYsilence HIGHLY warns you that this is a very dangerous proposition, and that all your music should be purchased legally. What happens with this utility is TOTALLY your responsibility. [via]

because torrents and p2p like soulseek have a much higher bitrate than 128. ill try this for albums I cant find anywhere else though.

1. No BAT files to run, it happens automatically when you play the song.
2. Original file name kept
3. Dumped MP3 is in the same directory as the MP3x, so you don’t have to go digging in the MusicForMasses install directory anymore.

With the second crack.. just pay the mp3x files in the player, they’ll automatically get dumped as plane mp3s to the same folder than the mp3x is in. Just copy the files in the rar into the musicformasses install directory.

If the app crashes, just leave it (do not close it).
It will continue to take off the DRM even though windoz says it must close.
It crashes on me before even getting to the UI – sigh…
If its crashing do not double click the file to open the associated player.
load the player first sign in and then click on the down loaded file.
AllofMP3 just updated the music app. None of the cracks work anymore
doesn’t work any more, they force an update
The crack does not work with the new version 0.64 Alpha.
