TWiT is “This Week in Tech,” another of Leo’s ‘netcasts’ (his phrase, trying to make sure there’s an alternative to ‘podcasts’ which Apple seems to be trying to protect as a trademark connected to the iPod). It also appears to be the name under which he is aggregating all the netcasts he’s involved with. TWIT.TV is the URL for the site where you can find ALL of Leo’s various netcasts (and there are a bunch of them!).

And to be clear, KFI is in LA, not SF. He does a live “The Tech Guy” radio show on Saturdays and Sundays each weekend, and then turns them into netcasts and posts them. He also still does “Call for Help,” the TV show he is famous for from the TechTV days – however, it is produced and shown in Canada, but you can buy the eps off iTunes, I believe.

I believe TWIT and leo laporte’s shows are on San Francisco’s KFI station which leo is on every sunday.

“Tune in Saturday and Sunday, 11a-2p Pacific on KFI 640 AM via broadcast and Internet from Los Angeles. Missed the broadcast? Past shows are available for download as MP3s from the Audio Archives page, or get them automatically by subscribing to the netcast. “

I had flying toasters on my first mac, a hand-me-down LCIII i had a mac plus and Mac SE but they were not graced with the toasters.

I was born in 1986, and I can still remember my dad showing me this screen saver. I couldn’t fully understand what a screensaver was, so I kept on trying to play it.

Thing is, everytime I moved the mouse, everything disappeared… God knows what was going through my head…

unfortunately, im also remembering the flying toaster crystal clear, so im also an oldtimer.
