The affordable Bose in ear headphone
A pair of Bose headphones for less then $100. It’s true! Bose has actually released a pair of in-ear headphones that costs five cents under the $100 mark, which is suprsingly cheap when compared to the other headsets offered.
For the geeky stuff. The Bose In-Ear headphones utilize Bose’s proprietary “TriPort acoustic headphone structure” which is claimed to provide a greater low-frequency output when compared against the majority of conventional earbuds. Blah Blah Blah.
I’m anxious to get my hands on a set, to compare them against the Shure E5c’s (the gold standard of in ear headphones)

Are they good? All I ever hear about Bose that they have overpriced crap, which no real audio expert will ever buy, it’s just a lot of marketing…
I purchased one on Saturday at Bose store in Dallas and I like it. They sound pretty good. There are 3 different inserts for each ear type and they all produce different sound. Small and medium are heavy bass and annoying, but large has the perfect mix. Now I have never owned a Shure product so I cannot compare with it but I do have Bose at home and a special sound system in my car. Compared to those, Triport IE does the job great. Also, inserts are so comfortable, you don’t even feel them they are there. Plus, you don’t insert them into ear canal. They stay nicely in your ear. My suggestion: get it.
If this is anything like Bose, then it will be overpriced, and will sound poor. If you are looking for a good, cheap in-ear headphone, I highly recommend the Creative EP-630. It’s only $29.88 at Amazon, and unless you have VERY discerning tastes, they will amaze you.
I have the Shure E500 earphones. I love them they’re incredible but I would say worth only about 350 to be honest.
