Do you find yourself looking to rant or rave about recent service received while dining out, shopping, or interacting with a place of business? Are you interested in connecting with other that may share the same interests, tastes, and thoughts concerning your favorite restaurants or coffee shops? Forget Cityguide or Citysearch, there’s a new “hip” service on the scene. One that doesn’t “censor” reviews.

Yelp is the latest social “network” concentrating on user reviews of public venues. Like Citysearch or Cityguide, users are able to write personalized reviews of services – the good, the bad, the disgusting, or the rude. However, unlike the aforementioned services, Yelp invites users to be as brutally honest, humorous, witty, and smart as they want to be. The service is completely interactive allowing users to compliment, socialize, and message one another through the polished interface.

Check the service out if you’ve ever wanted to share your dining, movie, or any other experiences worthy of a read. If you’re in Seattle – or outer vicinity – join me on Yelp.
