I d,lded "Beta" a while back and quickly uninstalled it but tonight I just had to give the final version (a mandatory update) a go. I was quite happy and surprised to find that just about every page loads faster than before. I`m not a programmer like you guys (sound like) and I`ve never used "Opera" or "firefox" or any other Browser for that matter so I dont really have a point of reference apart from IE6. I like the new look. Just for arguments sake I should point out that windows XP has always been a quite useable O/S for me, and I cant quite understand all the Microsoft bashing. I live next door to a Linux devotee so I constantly get an earfull. As a PC tech I rarely have problems finding compatible drivers or sorting out bugs/virus`s. Anyway I still havent tried it out fully so time will tell. PJ.

So far my experience with IE7 is that it sucks. I'd rather have IE6 back and that had it's own set of problems. The worst thing I've experienced it that it can't seem to load a simple web page half the time. Pages that were easily accessed in IE 6 now seem to present some sort of problem for IE7. Even going to my home page, which should be simple...it's Yahoo mail...seems to present a problem everytime I go online. IE7 says it "cannot display the web page" and then lists the following:
Most likely causes:
* You are not connected to the Internet. (I just openned up another browser and got this message even though I'm writing this online right now)
* The website is encountering problems. (if I hit F5 to refresh it usually comes up...duh...there is not a problem with yahoo mail very often and there was never a problem with IE6)
* There might be a typing error in the address. (http://mail.yahoo.com has been my home page since 1998)
Then it offers the following options:
* Diagnose Connection Problems (i.e. Join the Microsoft Experience Improvement Program - I suppose this would be the best option, but I never feel right about allowing MS to check out my hardware configuration even though it says no information is collected to identify or contact me.)
Anyway, I'm likely to uninstall it soon and go get the legacy IE6 back again.
