"I want to see our youth laying down their lives for the lord, like in Pakistan, and Israel..." - Some Crazy Lady

Ahem... she forgot a couple locations... like in Iraq, and the planes of 9/11... lets not forget here people... the terrorists we are fighting in the middle east believe pretty much this same stuff but they god they pray to has a different name and beliefs.

Whenever you see the road side bomb videos they always chant "allah achbar" repeatedly. This is because they believe killing the "non believers" is the way it should be to apease their god... oh and the pictures of 9 year olds holding guns to the heads of other 9 year olds in Isreal is just the kinda thing I wanna see here in the states when I support seperation of church and state.

To each his own, and believe whatever you want, but as soon as some nut bag 20 something comes up to me and threatens me because I don't believe in his jesus he is going to have a problem on his hands.... a very angry and serious problem.

How many kid's parents won't let them go because ehm hem...the pastor is a woman? Yes, many still say it's a job for men only.

This steals from childhood. Vacation Bible School is all well and good, but getting children involved in the anti-Abortion, anti-same gender, anti-evolutionary thought movements is only to deny them the ability to develop a brain which can weigh the options. They honestly can't have the slighttest clue. How are they to understand an abortion if they certainly won't have a clue about reproduction?

I think this is a classic example of how certain slivers of society will react when there is such deep divisions amongst our leaders. The MSM will only put the spotlight on extremism, because that is what keeps people tuned in. Howard Dean, Cindy She-man (Sheehan?), Mark Foley, Hitler Clinton, Jerry Fallwell, so on and so on.... [I can't think of equal numbers of far right/left ~ sorry]

At any rate, without seeing the documentary and only seeing clips, it seems a little "out there" to me.

Twilight Zone anyone?

There are somewhat same but totally different kinds of religious camps where I live, and most of the young population go there in the age of 14-15. It is said to be a religious event, however, the time (~a week) is usually spent with having fun and concentrating more on the girls rather than some mysterious god... We had to learn the decalogue and some nice stories from the bible. And of course we did, so we could spend more time with having fun.

Its been about eight years, and all I can remember is the good memories. It seems that their brainwashing didnt work, because I dont believe in gods. And why should I support such organisation, which doesnt admit that evolution exists.

But all the stuff they did on that video is very extreme, these two events cannot be compared with anything else than the basic idea. Those are training camps for religious extremists, I hope the kids have still their own will left to decide which path to follow.
Like we all should remember, the history repeats itself.
