Our favorite – Box.net adds mobile site

Our favorite online file storage service – which just so happens to be free and just so happens to be privacy conscious – reminds users of its mobile interface located at m.box.net [via].

The beauty of a mobile interface? Well aside from being able to access files while browsing from your mobile browser interface, users can also enjoy a bitty Box.net experience in their Firefox sidebars or using the Bitty Browser. Check out the Bitty Browser enabled Box.net page.

Feel free to embed such an mobile interface into your own website for accessing your own personal files for sharing & storage.

As a reminder, Box.net continues to “unofficially” support WebDav on OS X. Check out our previous coverage or Box.net’s announcement that they continue to “support” MacDav access.

  1. On the contrary, Amazon’s S3 has become my favorite online file storage service.

I knew you were going to chime in with your favorite S3 service. I’m still kicking it around. Not sure if it its worth paying pennies with S3 vs. free with Box.net.
