Google says stop making new products

Posted in Geeky, Tech by Derek at 5:36 pm

Rather than investing time into new projects, Google execs are saying that they would rather improve upon older services first. The new campaign touts “features” over “new products”.

In another sign of Google Inc.’s growth from start-up to corporate behemoth, the company’s top executives said Thursday that they had begun telling engineers to stop launching so many new services and instead focus on making existing ones work together better.

I’m all for new, ground breaking services, but Google definitely needs to close the beta tag on some of its current offerings before investing time into new ideas. Anyones thoughts? Gmail is definitely one of the better mail services out there, but there are so many other features that could be added to make it even better.

Their first project should be working on better Safari support.. than Mac Suport for Picasa.

They had better to improve google toolbar’s bookmark part. They may integrate it on Gmail, so you can get your bookmark in everywhere. Actually they havent released bookmark support for Firefox version of the toolbar. And there is no option for auto login to bookmarks. you need to enter login info in everytime.
