Google opens up code search, pirates thank them

Google has launched a ‘Code Search Engine’ that is designed for programmers and promises to make it easier to find and share code public domain code. Google claims “that in turn could increase programmers’ productivity and give a fresh boost to the open-source movement.”

All it not perfect with this new product, within hours of the project launch, commercial program key generators, have been indexed (The link is for a WinZip key generator).

Once again Google is faced with a tool that was created with the potential of good, except it is even better to help bad. Remember the Google (porn)Base strugles?

Yeah it can be used for keygens in the same way bittorrent can be used for pirating. On the whole, this is a really useful addition.
