Shhhhh, the Slingbox has a secret. It will support the Palm OS

Posted in Cool by Derek at 1:31 pm

The Slingbox has always been filled with mystery. When the new SlingBox Tuner, Pro, and AV came out it was intriguing, because it had the MacOS logo printed on the box, but included no software for the OS. However, It was confirmed by SlingMedia that a public beta of some sorts is underway, but that is not available to the general public. It now also seems that the Slingbox has one more secret.

On all production Slingboxes, there is a little round black sticker obscuring something, with a little heat and prying it revealed a PalmOS logo. Seems that it is now confirmed that a PalmOS client is in development to complement its Windows Mobile, and soon to be announced Symbian brothers.
