don’t worry, I’ve said it plenty of times for the both of us ;P I can’t wait till this douche-bag turns up with a knife in his back. It’s about god-damned time the media is reporting on this shit also. For too long we’ve all been labeled “anti-patriotic” or “anti-american” when in reality we are trying to preserve the country we love. This is complete bullshit. It’s surprising he hasn’t wound up with a few bullet holes in him already.

I’m with good ole Jack on this one…. “I’m concerned with what this country is turning into”…. I feel like we are becoming fascist eliets that in a sheepish way are holding our most powerful and responsible with a complete lack of any responsibility for their actions…

This really pisses me off, and I’ve never been so angry to say or imply it, but I hope karma hits Bush so hard it puts him six feet under….

If have to think, even if they pass a law that says it’s legal, the Gevena conventions pretty much override it. AKA, tough shit for Bush & pals.

This bill should never be allowed. This president has broken more laws and made more laws to protect him than any other president in history. He makes me sick and I can’t believe even a republican president would do such. Such an evil and dishonest man. he said he was going to bring morality back to the whie house, but there isn’t an inch of morality in his body.

Well, because US treats Geneva treaty (among other treatys as well) as ink on a page, I hope the rest of the world can consider this to be same kind of irrelevant paper.

Too late! It passed yesterday, Bush will likely sign his own pardon into law next week. More alarming than THAT (after all, Bush would likely have been pardoned by whomever is the next president), Congress has given Bush even more powers, despite his ludicrious use of the new ones he’s already put to such devastating affect. Now Bush can torture people with Congress’ blessing! From NYT:

The bill, which cleared a final procedural hurdle in the House on Friday and is likely to be signed into law next week by Mr. Bush, does not just allow the president to determine the meaning and application of the Geneva Conventions; it also strips the courts of jurisdiction to hear challenges to his interpretation.
