The Virtual Canoe, developed by the Technology Institute of Tokyo, is designed for city dwellers who are unable to actually partake in the white water rafting trip of their dreams. This virtual canoe is not a substite for the real thing, even though there is force feedback in the paddle. A projection system provides the scenery while, the paddle loaded with sensors relay information to a computer.
