Not to be outdone by the Union strikes for fair wages, etc. Colombian gang members are facing “sex strikes” in order to decrease the the amount of gang activity.

Gang members from the Colombian town of Pereira have been hit where it hurts when their wives and girlfriends went on strike.

They called for the sex ban in an effort to persuade their menfolk to give up the gun.

After meeting with the mayor’s office to discuss a disarmament programme, a group of women decided to deny their partners their conjugal rights.

Say the wrong word, do the wrong thing, don’t take the trash out on time… All of these – and more – can lead to similar “sex strikes” around the globe.
