Fire retardant MacBook sleeves

This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.Its no joke that the MacBooks run hot, but a fire retardant sleeve may be a bit much. These fashionable (and safe) wrappers are made with three layers – a fire retardant, corduroy outer, a middle layer of cushioning for added protection and a chestnut colored microfiber lining. Yes, you read right, chestnut. These here sleeves are fancy!
The autumn collection comes in five, natural fall colors: Raven, Tobacco, Terracotta, classic Ivory and finally Taupe. Costing close to $30 add another $5 for customized ID.
Not the most expensive case I have seen, and perfect for those who are afraid that their laptop will burn down their house.

Well we do have exploding batteries of doom :P
if the Macbook is off, does it still run hot? If not, what’s the point of putting it in a protective sleeve?
If you leave it on overnight, and put it in the sleeve, wouldn’t covering up all of the vents and such make it run hotter in the process, and have a higher risk of fire? I’d like to see a video demo of it in action.. anyone willing to test their Macbook?
Seems kinda redundant… but at least they’re stylish!
