How this story made slipped from our hands, we’ll never know, considering all the authors use a Treo (Welcome to the fold Derek). Unfortunately this bit of news is only relevant to Europeans, we in the US have to wait.

Vodafone has secured exclusive rights to the Treo 750v’s release. The new toy sports a new form factor with no antenna to worry about. Also the phone sports the Windows Mobile operating system with a Palm OS version in the works.

Other specs are:

  • Powerful Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 with Palm enhancements
  • Integrated SMS/MMS with chat view and dedicated inbox
  • Mobile access to multiple business and personal email accounts
  • 3G/UMTS network for fast data access
  • 1.3-megapixel digital camera that also captures video
  • Windows Media(R) Player 10 Mobile for music and video
  • Built-in Bluetooth(R) wireless technology enhanced to support Bluetooth enabled stereo headsets
  • Mini-SD expansion slot
  • 240×240 transflective (TFT) touch screen
  • Of note: Other carriers will soon launch the Treo 750v on their markets, but Vodafone will have EU exclusivity for some time. This also means that no unlocked Treo 750vs will be available until the exclusivity is over, as they could be imported back into the EU.

There is an interview conducted by TreoCentral after the jump

I just saw pics of the 750. Why can’t we have antenna-less Treo’s here already? :(

  2. tony says:

I know a guy that does some interface programing for Palm and I’ve seen a couple of models ahead of the 700 that look similar to that one. Code name: Nightrider

  3. Dan says:

Oh stop Derek, enjoy your toy!

  4. chad says:

heh…. its been a few years now since the first Treo hit the market… the newest version is a full 100 (650+100=750) points better than its origional build and their largest visual improvement is “no antenna”… I mean, the thing has been beautiful since inception, but come on guys! you can do more than that!!!

  5. Noremacam says:

Too bad they had to cut down the battery size to 1200mh to make it work instead of the 1800mh that’s in the treo 650’s and 700’s

  6. Derek says:

1200mh battery? Let’s hope that the device manages its battery life. With the screen set to the lowest possible settings using an 1800mh battery on a Treo 750, I was lucky to get 6 hours of regular usage.

  7. Dan says:

    I’m 2400 mh :) and I get a full 24
