It is the sound of Apple’s servers MELTING! Unless you have been living in a cave, you knew Apple was having some little event to showcase the supposedly new “video” iPods and a movie store.
Those who we betting on a new video iPod must be sorely disappointed. All you got were brighter screens(I can barely contain myslef! j/k). Apple, this was a HUGE PR blunder, you need to learn how to manage your fanbois expectations.
In exchange for weeks of free publicity, and instead of the long rumored and much fabled iPod video, we did get:

Well none of us expected that, it’s nice to get a surprise once in a while. Looking at the summary I’ll be getting an iTV, so long as they actually release it in the UK next year as well as the US?
The iTV sounds great, but after a year with no iPod updates, all they can muster is “Hey, a brighter screen!” and “Longer battery life!”? Fanboy-ness aside, I don’t think it was all too unreasonable to expect some sort of SIGNIFICANT update…
OMG HOW HOT IS THAT SHUFFLE?!?!?! No doubt i am sure its gonna be a hit this christmas.

iTunes 7 is hot. I’ve been enjoying the CD flicker thing for some time now using Coverflow, which has just anounced to selling it’s technology to apple. I’ve very happy to have it integrated with iTunes.
But I just can’t get the ‘Get Album Artwork’ thing to work. iTunes music store hasn’t opened up in Malta yet. We still have to get our music from other sources. Like ripping our own CDs I mean…
Got to love the nanos, and I can’t wait for the iTV’s updated specs. Hope it gets a TV Tuner and a built in HDD. Wireless web streaming is brilliant!!

That is what I get every stinkin time I try to install iTunes 7. It installed fine on my laptop but refuses to on this machine. I have redownloaded it a couple times, deleted my Temp folder, uninstalled then reinstalled iTunes6, booted xp with no services running, etc etc….
Anyone else getting this kinda shit???

so how dot the games on ipod work? Anyone know if there was any other way to acquire these games argh ? ; )

HOLY…. Just downloaded IT7…. I am in Love. For the first time, I’m using iTunes, not because I have to because I have an ipod, but because it WORKS! I’m speechless…..
iTunes 7 is ugly compared to 6. I guess I’ll get used to it in time. But as for now, it’s nowhere near as good.
My major gripe with it is the introduction of Gapless Playback. This whole idea could be done using Crossfade Playback when iTunes had a minimum setting of 0 seconds. iTunes 7 for some reason sets it to 1 second, and has an entirely new system to detect songs which need gapless? It’s a waste of time and computer resources.
Small snag in Vista RC1 5600 w/ iTunes 7.0 and iPodService but hit ignore and it finished fine.
It Kernel Panic’d when I tried to update my iPod nano; unplugged it when it said ok to disconnect, so I did and it instantly panic’d. Mac OS X 10.4.7 Oh how I just love buggy initial releases! :P
I just can’t decide whether Apple are going down a pure video on demand route, or whether they’ll turn around in first quarter next year and add a TV tuner into the iTV. Of course if they add a TV tuner they’re not only cannibalising iTunes, but they’ve just opened box on the TV broadcast standards bogeyman
Well, I made the mistake to upgrade my itunes, and now I do not have it anymore… first I got the message “the older version of quicktime cannot be removed, contact your technical support group”. After spending hours on the net, found several possible solutions, and none worked. Now I get the message “the installer encountered errors before itunes could be configured?
I deleted, removed, uninstalled, etc anything related to itunes/apple, how can I installed back in my pc?
So bad the main apple page does not offrer solutions about this problems, and after reading lots of pages about this, it seems to be a common problem…
