Voicemail for Free, on your Blog
Add the ultimate level of interactivity to your site with voicemail. If you are not fortunate enough to have a toll free number for your blog (What you haven’t tried ours?! 888.9.UNEASY, baby), you can still create a virtual sounding board for free, provided by Snapvine.
Callers are asked to call an Iowa (641) number and enter a star (*) code after a prompt to leave a voicemail. Once a message is left you have an option to screen the calls, or let is post without any filtering (for those with a sense of adventure). Snapvine also strips out the caller ID information from any caller before a message is posted, but retains the caller’s information in the system if the calls start getting abusive, allowing you to block the abusive caller.
But, that’s not the only service Snapvine provides. They also send messages to other peoples phones as well. So if you are looking for a tactful way to break up with your significant other, or to tell your coworker they have horrible breath, let Snapvine do that for you too. Be warned it will show your caller ID on any of these outgoing messages, so be careful what you send.
Adding to the laundry list of features is the ability to listen to your podcasts via the phone. Basically you call a Snapvine 641 number, and it plays all your podcasts for you over your phone. Take that iPod :P
Last but not least this service also does wakeup calls.
Not bad for something free. You can call our Snapvine number at 1(641)920-1111 and enter *519406 to see how the users would interact with the system, as well as listen to your message after the jump. For fun I am not filtering messages, so enjoy.

I have a question….does it charge it to my phone bill when I call that Iowa number?
