Ouch! The Browzar “browser” is adware?!
This will teach us not to jump to conclusions trusting every browser that happens to make its way on to the front pages of every major blog and tech site on the net. According to Web2.0log, the “secure” browser “Browzar” – previously mentioned on UNEASY – is a fake and full of adware.
Social news rave about Browzar – they claim it a new secure browser leaving no footprints. After looking at it closer, I found out that it’s not a browser at all, and moreover, this software thrusts search via it’s own PPC-SE full of ads on user.
Lots of chatter on the topic. Hundreds of comments. Quite a strong collection of supporting evidence to squash the notion that Browzar is indeed “secure”.

Oops. Glad I only tried it at work, not at home…. ;^)
I would not call it adware, but it uses a hard coded home and search page that show ads. There’s no option to use your own, such as google or yahoo, unless you are willing to do some work with a hex editor:
