(edit... LOL I didn't notice the year this was posted ..anyways this still might help someone)

--- Heber , ... I checked their site it says the Cingular (the new at&t =P ) is supported. It should see it as a Windows Mobile 5 Smartphone. Did you try to update the Missing Sync already? If not, do so. For ver 4.0 updates you need a license code (not free - doahh).

--------------------------------------------

--- John, Cingular support is VERY limited for Mac's. 1/3 of the techs know what there talking about and even less take the time to find out about something they don't know about. If you have to call them again ask for an ANS rep (the old Laptop connect group). Go to a Mac Store near you with an onsite Mac 'genius' (loosely used term here). Asked them about help with setting your 3125 as a modem. Sometimes it's easer to connect the phone using Bluetooth rather that USB. You or they may need to get a custom modem script to make it work correctly. The most popular place for modem scripts for Mac is Ross Barkman's page http://home2.btconnect.com/Taniwha/ . go there and dl the Generic GPRS Scripts & READ the instuctions!!! cuz things like having to enter the APN into the telephone field NOTthe actual telephone number and such. BTW the modem info you need for at&t is as follows: apn (all in upper case) = ISP.CINGULAR , user name (yes, it does looks like an email address & all in upper case) = ISP@CINGULARGPRS.COM , password (all in upper case) = CINGULAR1

I have a 3125 also and I just bought the Missing Sync. I can't get my phone to connect to it. On the missing sync website it says that it does not yet support the 3125. Has anyone else been able to find a backdoor way in?

I just got a Cingular 3125, mainly so I could use it as a modem with my Powerbook. I haven't been able to make it work so far. I've been told by two Cingular tech support people that such a setup is impossible, but a third Cingular person told me if I get third-party sync software (undoubtedly The Missing Sync) that would solve any and all problems. Anyone out there familiar with this situation? Thanks much.

I use it with my MDA, but I've never been able to get it to mount as a drive...

Other than that, it's a great program.

It's funny that you just posted this.. I just purchased this after being in the dark for awhile with my Cingular 8125, the only place I could sync this was at work. This program is awesome, syncs right up with either microsoft office or iCal and addressbook.. Pretty sweet program, and definately worth it if you have WM5 and a mac.
