chumbyTechnology doesn’t have to be so “techie”. Introducing Chumby, the wireless enabled all-in-one device capable of fetching your daily dose of internet for presentation within its “cute” – hackable – plush little package. Some may point fingers and cry “frivolous gizmo”. I beg to differ.

Introducing chumby, a compact device that can act like a clock radio, but is way more flexible and fun. It uses the wireless internet connection you already have to fetch cool stuff from the web: music, the latest news, box scores, animations, celebrity gossip…whatever you choose. And a chumby can exchange photos and messages with your friends. Since it’s always on, you’ll never miss anything.

Not yet released, but the target range is the $150 price point. True hackers can push their skills by transforming the Chumby into a one-off piece worthy of flashing for others. Widgets, audio, RSS, content, photo sharing, and the ability to message others… This little Chumby packages quite a punk within a tiny little footprint.
