OS X: Drop Stickies and pick up Sidenote

sidenoteIf there is one thing worth adding to your productivity arsenal on OS X, it’s a strong alternative to the much respected Stickies app or widget included with OS X. Although both methods of note taking have proven beneficial on several fronts, sometimes a little more is needed.

Sidenote will automatically expand so that you will be able to drag into it any picture, text clipping or pdf file from the finder or your favorite application. With notes auto-saving, you’ll never have to save your notes. Sidenote will handle that for you. You can also print notes or export them to rtf.

For those seeking a little more note taking flexibility without room for sacrificing valuable desktop real estate, check out Pierre Chatel’s Sidenote. Sidenote is as unobtrusive as a note application can be.

  1. last time I checked, I was almost hypnotized by the qualities, until I discovered it was not Spotlight-searchable. Is it now?
